Refunds & Returns

Japtrap Bak strives to provide high-quality products and excellent customer service. This policy outlines the procedures for refunds and returns in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and other applicable South African laws.

 

1. Returns

1.1 Defective or Unsuitable Goods

  • You may return goods within 7 days of delivery if the goods are:

    • Defective or unsafe

    • Unsuitable for the purpose for which they were intended

    • Not of the quality reasonably expected

  • In such cases, you may choose to receive a refund, replacement, or repair of the goods, as determined by Japtrap Bak in accordance with the CPA.

1.2 Change of Mind

  • As our products are food items, we cannot accept returns for change of mind or if you no longer want the product, due to food safety and hygiene reasons.

2. Exclusions

  • Refunds and returns will not be provided for:

    • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or negligence on the part of the customer.

    • Products that have been altered or tampered with by the customer.

    • Products that have not been stored or used in accordance with the provided instructions.

    • Products where the quality has deteriorated due to customer delay in collection.

3. Refunds

  • Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.

  • Please allow 7-14 business days for the refund to be processed after the returned goods have been received and inspected.

  • Japtrap Bak reserves the right to withhold a portion of the refund if the returned goods are not in their original condition, or if any damage has occurred.

4. Return Procedure

  • Please provide the following information:

    • Your order number

    • The reason for the return

    • Clear photographs of any defects or damage (if applicable)

  • We will provide you with instructions on how to return the goods.

  • Returned goods must be in their original packaging, if possible, and in a saleable condition.

5. Costs of Returns

  • If the goods are returned due to being defective, unsuitable, or not as described, Japtrap Bak will be responsible for the costs of the return.

  • If the goods are returned for any other reason (where applicable), the customer will be responsible for the costs of the return.
